Why are there Bluish Green Stains on my Fixtures?

These unsightly stains are typically caused by copper leaching into the water. When your water has a pH level below 7.0 it is considered acidic and overtime will begin to corrode copper lines. Adding an acid neutralizer to your system increases the pH level and helps bring it to a safer balance. Keep in mind, however, that dissolved oxygen and a high concentration of sulfur in the water can also lead to damage, and you should have your water tested by a professional.
